Initial consultations are brief. Martin will ask a few questions about your situation, tell you honestly whether this firm is the right fit, and give you a clear sense of how the matter would be handled and what it would cost.

If something is outside the firm's scope, you will hear that too, along with a referral to someone who handles it well. There is no benefit to taking on work that is not a good match.
